I back up all my mobile phone data regularly, including photos. First on the laptop. From there, I transfer it to two external SSDs, along with the rest of the laptop's data. After all, an SSD can break. Even within the warranty period. Or it can break through one's own fault. The quality of the photos is not damaged. Copying is done 1:1. In many cases, games have to be stored in the internal memory in order to be able to play them on the PC. I assume this is also the case here. The USB connection would be too slow for this. However, you can move other things like photos and videos to it to free up space on your internal hard drive.
