When caring for the Chamaedorea, it is important that the soil does not dry out, but the roots should not sit in water. Therefore, only give the plant small amounts of water. In summer, watering every four days is sufficient, while in winter, every two weeks is enough. The Chamaedorea prefers plenty of light, but as little direct sunlight as possible. It is best to place the dwarf palm near a north-facing window. If the leaves become lighter or yellow, the plant is getting too much light.
