Product details
Chamaedorea elegans, also known as the Mexican dwarf palm, is native to the rainforests of southern Mexico and Guatemala. It is a beautiful, graceful plant that is also very hardy, making it perfect for beginners in plant care. This palm instantly adds a real jungle atmosphere to your room without the worry of it outgrowing its space. This dwarf palm gets its nickname from its compact growth and will not develop into a large, overpowering plant. The Mexican dwarf palm is an ideal addition to your urban jungle.
Care
When caring for the Chamaedorea, it is important that the soil does not dry out, but the roots should not sit in water. Therefore, only give the plant small amounts of water. In summer, watering every four days is sufficient, while in winter, every two weeks is enough. The Chamaedorea prefers plenty of light, but as little direct sunlight as possible. It is best to place the dwarf palm near a north-facing window. If the leaves become lighter or yellow, the plant is getting too much light.
