The Pachira is a true tropical plant, native to the swamps of East Brazil, Panama, and Costa Rica. Here, the plant can grow up to 20 meters tall.

Care
The Pachira is suitable for people who sometimes forget their plants, as it is not very demanding. The braided trunk gives the Pachira a unique appearance. It prefers to be placed in a bright spot but not too close to the window. The plant stores water in its stem, so the soil should be dry before watering again. Additionally, the Pachira should be watered in winter, as this encourages leaf formation. Old leaves can be trimmed away. In summer, the Pachira needs to be watered about twice a week.
