The key for Thule bike racks can be easily replaced. Simply look at the reference number on the lock cylinder of the bike carrier and select the corresponding replacement key, e.g. at Bikester. https://www.bikester.ch/thule-n071-ersatzschluessel-M1154789.html?&_cid=21_1_-1_9_58_1707779__pla&_cid=21_1_smart_shopping_0_0_0__&campaign_detail=smart_shopping&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7JOpBhCfARIsAL3bobe_mEcu5wY1TOej_pckw-1Sd5mncGEzB6AMSOuWGirXc6pLMNDLwJoaAvtbEALw_wcB

Bicycle carrier should work with any car as it is installed on the trailer hitch. Just make sure you have a 9 or 13 pin electrical connector. What I find great about this bike carrier is the feature that when you switch on the car's alarm indicators and then the electrical contact of the bike carrier, the bike carrier automatically runs through a test programme for all lights. Very practical.

Hello, Yes, with bikes it's a bit tight... I have to protect the fork and chain stay if necessary. Also with the 1st bike (to the car) with handlebar widths over 80cm I have to turn it away sometimes. But otherwise it is a great carrier... I don't know of a better one!

It depends very much on how neatly you position the carrier on the trailer coupling head. If it is too tight, lift it again, place it on the ball head again and pull it up a little at the back.

Are 35mm rims compatible with 2.4 tyres?

The bicycle wheel is placed in a rail. A fastening band is fixed to the rail on one side and a tensioning device (ratchet) on the other side. The strap is flexible. The maximum height of the band with 2 prongs in the tensioning device is 16 cm (x). If the maximum width is at a height of 7 cm (y), the maximum possible width is 9.5 cm (z). Furthermore, it depends on the length of the bike, so it may be that the wheel fixation is not at the lowest point (It usually is, because better stability is achieved). But the fixation can also be done with a separate clamping set. Yes, should fit mM. My CH car has 13-pin (similar to Velocompact 3). The only thing missing from the Unitec short adapter (also available at Galaxus) is the cover to prevent it from turning out. But maybe they have solved it differently...

I would say yes, that would fit: - My MTB has 117cm Radstand and fits easily. - Veloträger is 118cm wide (Felgenhalter Ende zu Felgenhalter Ende) but since both are under an angle, the supporting position (Kontaktfläche Felgenhalter - Reifen) for any MTB is far less than the Radstand. - At some point the Schnallen could be the limiting factor since these would be too short. Mine still has a lot of spare though (2.4 Reifen) and therefore I do not see this as an issue for a 120cm radstand MTB.

Can I also use this for e-bikes?

Helpful answer

In principle, this is not a problem. The only restriction is the permissible total weight (max. 60 kg). A little tip: Take out the batteries of the e-bikes and transport them separately in the car. This way the total weight will certainly not be exceeded even with 3 bikes.
