Good question. It would be hard to tell until you open it up. They are made in batches and only a physical inspection would give you more information.
Nein, Apple hat beim neuen Mac Pro andere Pins für den Storage. Guter Artikel dazu: https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/06/10/apple-is-using-a-custom-connector-for-the-ssd-in-the-new-mac-pro
I bought this for a gaming laptop because of space. Works great. You probably will not notice the difference apart from a second or two on boot but at the moment there is a 4 CHF difference between the 870 2TB and the 870 EVO plus so go for the M2
Samsung Electronics GmbH Hello, Thank you very much for your request. If your motherboard has an M.2 slot, you can use this SSD. To be able to use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes. If in doubt, please contact the device manufacturer directly. Best regards from Schwalbach, Your Samsung Service Team
Samsung Electronics GmbH Hello, Thank you very much for your enquiry. Since the mainboard of the MEDION® ERAZER® Engineer X20 apparently has M.2 slots, you can use this SSD. To be able to use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes. If in doubt, please enquire directly with the device manufacturer. Kind regards from Schwalbach, Your Samsung Service Team
The problem with MAC is that the OS can only be installed when the SSD is initialised. According to the internet, there are two ways to do this: 1) Install the SSD in a USB enclosure, connect it and initialise it (Erase). Then rebuild. 2) Install the SSD, boot it via the internet (Command-Option-R) and initialise it. ->Then install the OS normally. However, I am not a MAC specialist.
Manufacturer no. of the item is MZ-V7S2T0BW --> https://www.samsung.com/ch/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-ssd-2tb-mz-v7s2t0bw/
Hello I think it's possible as far as I can tell. Your acer laptop already uses an M2.2280 ssd. The tricky part is the data transfer and software reinstallation! Good day to you
Samsung Electronics GmbH Hello, Thank you very much for your request. If your motherboard has an M.2 slot, you can use this SSD. To use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes. If in doubt, please contact the device manufacturer directly. To find the right SSD for you and compatible with your system, take a look at the "SSD Configurator" on the Samsung homepage. With a few short questions and in just a few minutes, we will find the right SSD for you. To do this, please go directly to the Samsung homepage and place the mouse pointer over the category "Computer", which is listed in the upper part of the screen. Under the category "Recommended" you will find the "SSD Configurator", which you should select. Alternatively, you can find the "SSD Configurator" by simply entering "Samsung - Which SSD is right for me?" into a search engine. On the following pages you will be asked about your system and your personal requirements in order to find the right product for you. Best regards from Schwalbach, Your Samsung Service Team
Samsung Electronics GmbH Hello, The Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus has the form factor M.2 (2280). In order to use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes. Samsung Electronics GmbH Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. Sony is currently in the certification process, which is why compatibility is not yet guaranteed. Please contact the manufacturer of the PS5 directly. Kind regards from Schwalbach, Your Samsung Service Team
You will need to check what motherboard you have and see how many M.2 slots there are. On major motherboards there are 2. You should consider also what you want to use them for i.e. operating system etc. If you do I suggest a smaller 1TB for the OS and then the larger one for program files etc. I used a 860 EVO Plus 4TB SSD and it works very well indeed.
Sony has not yet published a compatibility list. However, since it has already been communicated that only PCIe Gen 4 is supported, this SSD will probably not be compatible.
An HD for the PS5 should be left alone at the moment, as Sony has not yet released/implemented the expansion slot. It is also not clear whether this will be limited to manufacturers or specific models. Sony has unfortunately not really delivered a fully functioning PS5, there are some shortcomings to the listed features which for me is a no-go for the product itself.
I purchased the 970 EVO Plus and on the back it says "Product of Korea".
Dear Ms / Mr Beppe80 The following. Link should give you the answer; probably no compatibility since "only" PCI 3.0 is available in this version. https://www.gamepro.de/artikel/ps5-ssd-erweitern,3355746.html I hope this helps you. Best regards
As a rule, yes, if the appropriate connection is available. However, they are often under the graphics card, for example, which makes it necessary to remove it first. Alternatively, you can order an adapter for the PCIe slot, then it's just a matter of plugging it in and that's it.
Maybe it helps: the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB I bought a few days ago already had the latest firmware 2B2QEXM7 on it. I don't know if this is the Mac-compatible version.
Yes, the SSD is compatible. The Z390-A motherboard has two compatible M.2 slots.
Yes, same thing. Samsung just calls it V-NAND 3-bit MLC: https://www.samsung.com/ch/memory-storage/970-evo-plus-nvme-m2-ssd/MZ-V7S2T0BW/ PS: For me, it would be easiest if everyone labeled it x-bit MLC.
From time to time it can happen that the delivery date is postponed. This is especially the case if the supplier is still in contact with the manufacturer and an order has to be placed again due to high demand or poor availability of the item. For this reason, we give the information without guarantee and would like to apologise for the postponements. Making fun of our customers... is never in our sense, I can guarantee that.
Thank you for reporting this. I have forwarded it to the relevant department.
Yes, it is realistic. The external distributor has the article in stock. Unfortunately we don`t offer clone of OS.
I am very sorry about that. Unfortunately, we currently have no new information about a delivery date and for this reason we are still clarifying this. Unfortunately, we cannot say how long these will take, I'm sorry. As soon as we have news, we will provide it.
